The Broadcast Digital Awards are back for the twelfth year, celebrating the most creative and innovative digital content in the UK. As the online and TV worlds continue to blend, the Awards recognise the very best digital channels and programmes, as well as second screen content, multiplatform projects and original content produced online. There are three new categories for 2016, reflecting the changing nature of the industry. Best Digital Programme Support replaces Best App or Website for Programmes, opening the field to any second screen element that enhances a programme. We’re also looking for the Best Scripted Online Short and Best Non-scripted Online Short, rewarding new content under 20 minutes that debuted online and generated significant engagement.
