After leaving school with stunning final exam results* in the early 90s, Darren spent eight years in the Irish music industry for a crime he didn’t commit. Since leaving music, he’s dedicated his life to providing entertainment to the people of earth. Mainly involving television but with a few detours into talent management and theatre production.

He has either created, written, directed, produced or exec produced all of Kite’s output since setting it up in 2004, including shows such as Anonymous, Fittest Family, Gogglebox Ireland, Last One Laughing with Graham Norton, RTÉ Does Comic Relief, Ireland’s Got Talent, The Dierdre O’Kane Show (Sky One), Storybud, Secret Millionaire, Celebrity Bainisteoir etc. 2025 Will see Kite produce the Irish version of The Traitors which is one of those really easy “makes itself” formats that Kite do love to take on.
