Katy Manley

Managing Director, Initial

Katy Manley is the Managing Director of Initial (a Banijay UK label), where she is responsible for all aspects of creative output and direction, as well as overseeing all productions on its slate.

In a career spanning over 20 years, she has worked on some of the biggest shows on television, specialising in large-scale, ambitious reality and entertainment shows.

At Initial she has been responsible for a raft of television shows including Soccer Aid (ITV), Beauty and the Geek (Discovery+), Tenable (ITV) and The Games (ITV). She has overseen the reality juggernaut of Big Brother since 2010; managing the successful transition of the show from Channel 4 to Channel 5 and to its new home on ITV. Reinvigorating the brand and overseeing the creative strategy across all shows, she has been responsible for hundreds of hours of television every year.
