Lucy Willis

Commissioning Editor VP Non Scripted, Channel5/Paramount

Lucy is a Commissioning Editor and VP at Channel 5 and Paramount Plus, where she looks after a wide-ranging factual slate including popular factual, documentaries and history.

She has been responsible for commissioning a number of the Channels peak-time programmes including Warship: Life at Sea; Inside the Tower of London as well as the stripped history event The Great Plague and the crime special The Disappearance of Shannon Matthews

Lucy was also behind the major eight-part drama documentary series Eight Days That Made Rome.

She has recently commissioned The Secret Life of Trees; Dorset Coast and Country; Jay Blades the West End Through Time, and Buckingham Palace with Alexander Armstrong.

Lucy has worked extensively with diverse talent in front of and behind the camera, including Jay Blades, JJ Chalmers and Raksha Dave and leads on sustainability for the commissioning team.

Before moving to Channel 5 Lucy was at Raw Television for eight years where she became Head of UK Factual and Multiplatform and won a number of awards including two International Emmy’s.
